Test the exact message, in every place where customers see it.
A life-cycle assessment or environmental product declaration may provide useful data, but it does not automatically prove that a product is “green”. Each statement needs the right product scope, method, period, boundary and limitation.

Directive (EU) 2024/825 strengthens consumer protection against misleading environmental claims. Member States apply the implementing rules from 27 September 2026.
